Bob moved to California in 1983 and two years later assumed the position of GM for the struggling Jim Vreeland Ford in Buellton. As General Manager, Bob established the parts and service business, increasing sales and turning the dealership from a bankrupt entity to a highly-profitable business center.
In 1995, Bob moved to Paso Robles, becoming the Owner/Vice President, for Paso Robles Ford. Again, he turned a car business to a highly-profitable organization, increased the sales volume and moved the business from North Spring Street to its current location on Highway 46E.
In his free time between running businesses, Bob served as President of the Rotary Clubs in Santa Ynez and Paso Robles Sunrise, United Way Board, Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce, Chamber Roblan of the Month, and, since 2014, served as a docent for Estrella Warbirds Museum, engaging the public with ever present smiling face.
Bob Burgess was elected to the Board of Directors of Estrella Warbirds Museum in June of 2019. We are honored to have 'Bob, The Deal Maker', as part of our team!
