Member, Board of Directors, Estrella Warbirds Museum at Estrella Warbirds Museum
Nearly everyone around the Paso Robles community will immediately recognize the name "Bob, The Deal Maker". Bob Burgess has served in numerous high profile positions around the central coast for the past 25 years.
Born in Fairplay, Colorado, Bob attended Western State Colorado University where he majored in Accounting and Business and was even listed in "Who's Who on American College Campuses." He was trained as a Jet Aircraft Mechanic in the Air Force Reserves before receiving his Colorado Certified Public Accountant license in 1965.
Bob moved to California in 1983 and two years later assumed the position of GM for the struggling Jim Vreeland Ford in Buellton. As General Manager, Bob established the parts and service business, increasing sales and turning the dealership from a bankrupt entity to a highly-profitable business center.
In 1995, Bob moved to Paso Robles, becoming the Owner/Vice President, for Paso Robles Ford. Again, he turned a car business to a highly-profitable organization, increased the sales volume and moved the business from North Spring Street to its current location on Highway 46E.
In his free time between running businesses, Bob served as President of the Rotary Clubs in Santa Ynez and Paso Robles Sunrise, United Way Board, Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce, Chamber Roblan of the Month, and, since 2014, served as a docent for Estrella Warbirds Museum, engaging the public with ever present smiling face.
Bob Burgess was elected to the Board of Directors of Estrella Warbirds Museum in June of 2019. We are honored to have 'Bob, The Deal Maker', as part of our team!
