Carol Verstuyft
Carol has been working closely with with her husband, Dan, on a race he promoted for two years at the old road race course at the LA County Fairgounds in Pomona, Ca. She took care of all hospitality functions for both races along with obtaining donations for car show raffle. She recently secured 10 bicycles for a bike race competition and then participated in the donation of the bikes to the Boys Republic Home in La Verne, Ca.
She and her husband belong to Stock Car Race Series where they run the office functions for the club. This includes helping to put on all races along with registration and tech. They usually put on a dinner for the racers, spouses and crew members on Saturday night and she handles all the preparation for these along including the menus, decorations, setup and teardown.
Dan and Carol have a road committee where they live and are the main focal point for putting out the letters, collecting the monies and making sure the work is completed.
Besides her involvement as Secretary to the Board of Directors for Estrella Warbirds Museum, she had Dan both volunteer as docents in the Woodland Auto Display Building!
During the past few years, Carol and Dan decided to move and expand their olive orchard and launched Hot Rod Alley Virgin Olive Oil company and began shipping nationally. (As webmaster, I can attest to the fantastic quality of their fine virgin olive oil! Simply the best I've tasted!)
