EWM Members Harald and Margi Bauer
pose with F-22 Test Pilot Steve "Hooter" Rainey
Harald and Margi Bauer were recent guests of honor Edwards Air Force Base during a VIP Tour. Harald was a World War II Luftwaffe pilot who later joined ranks with the US Military and served as a US Navy aviator during the Korean War. Harald was invited to Edwards AFB to share his slide show and story of his experiences during WWII and the radical change of events that shaped his life in the following years.

A Small Request From the Curators of Freedom Hall
As most of you know, construction is once again taking center stage at the museum with the start of Hind Pavilion. This involves moving and temporarily storing artifacts which might be affected by the new construction.
At this time, the museum is not accepting donations of smaller artifacts due to lack of indoor storage and display space. If, however, you should want to donate a P-38, B-24, B-29, or tank, etc., we would be most delighted to receive these items. Thank you for your cooperation! If you have any specific questions, please contact John Gramentine, Assistant Curator.
1931 Ford Model A "Huckster"
A special thanks goes out to Richard Woodland Family for their latest addition to the Woodland Auto Display Building. Never heard of a "Huckster"? Not to worry, this writer had not either until I got the "rest of the story" directly from the source. You can too, by visiting the Woodland Auto Display and checking out the latest additions. In the meantime, if we have wet your appetite, check out the web site Huckster page here.>
