The Museum's third building project was a meeting hall for our members, but more than just a place for some tables and chairs, plans called for a full-service kitchen, a wet bar, rest rooms, and air-conditioning and heating system. Like our hangar, underneath it all was more of the leftovers from the historic old Paso Robles Almond Company processing plant and, like our hangar, almost all construction work was done with volunteer manpower from within our membership, plus some valuable assistance from friends in the business community. The 50' x 100' hall can seat up to 180 people in meeting or 160 in dinner arrangements, and during summers there is an adjacent outdoor area with a large open-pit barbecue on a grassy lawn for larger gatherings. In addition to the kitchen and bar, the hall is also equipped with built-in sound and video systems, plus a tuned piano. Wireless internet access is available for meeting use. Of course, parking is not a problem. ![]() Besides monthly member functions and occasional special events, at present the Museum regularly hosts the local chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association, the Civil Air Patrol, and the Paso Robles Airport Advisory Committee for meetings. Other groups are invited to consider this unique location for their meetings, presentations, dinner parties, and dances. Phone 805 227-0440 to leave a message or email us and one of our directors will be pleased to supply information and answer questions about hall rentals. |
