Thanks to long time dedicated and hard working Estrella Warbirds Museum members, Ron and Jackie Brooks' generous donation back in 2008, the museum was able to expand and construct a 4900 square foot building to house the ever growing restored military vehicle collection, missile display and the incredible munitions displays, a mini-garage, and storage space for the Curator. This was the second major facility on site dedicated primarily to the display of military artifacts. The facility was "initially" completed in January of 2009.

Expansion Happens

Not too long following the initial completion of the Brooks Building, and vehicles and displays were set in place, numerous improvements began to happen. Gerry O'Brien, local mural artist, completed an incredible backdrop for the missile display which catches your eye immediately upon entering the building. Another feature was added which gave it a more 3 dimensional display. The Unmanned Aerial Vehicles was added, albeit suspended from the ceiling. More vehicles were added and the munitions display continued to grow. Yes, we were running out of room.

In September, 2010, a slab was poured which would allow for expansion of the munitions/armament display, plus a new radio room to house the growing collection of military radios and electronics. In doing so, it also gave us more space to display the ever expanding military vehicle display.

It should be noted that the Brooks Building, just like all the other facilities present at Estrella Warbirds Museum, are not constructed until sufficient funds are raised to complete the project. We are overwhelmed with gratitude to all the private individuals and organizations that have had the confidence in Estrella Warbirds Museum to cause them to assist and contribute to our growth without being reliant on government funds to build and maintain this growing community based organization.
