Mary was born on a naval base in Rhode Island, grew up in Yuma, AZ, spent most of 30 years in Fremont, CA and landed in Atascadero in 2016, then Paso Robles in 2019. She claims that life has taught her more than she ever learned attaining a degree in the disciplines of both Business Administration and Management, and that learning never stops.

Currently, Mary is building a career in the civil service sector supporting major construction on highways from Santa Cruz to Santa Barbara. She ran a towing and transportation company for 16 years with family before moving to the central coast. During this time, she also: homeschooled her youngest, followed his youth baseball interests; supported a couple of the older kids through high school, college, and life; and prayed for the one that chose military service. She worked for Philips Semiconductors when e-commerce began, along with International Standards, helping to move from outdated mainframe servers to just-in-time delivery on PC-based servers and creating procedures to meet ISO-9000x standards. And before that, Mary held several positions with Tymnet/McDonnell Douglas/British Telecom/MCI (same organization, just passed off to several companies) ending with a data center position as a systems analyst – the original internet at the start of the world wide web. Remember dial-up?

The brushstroke of experience being wide and diverse, an attitude of continuous learning, and desire to be involved in community brought Mary to EWM in 2019 thinking there might be something she could do that would be of help. Starting out in the gift shop, Mary mastered the operations and then helped with a new POS system transition. With a heart for youth, she joined the EWM Youth Aviation Club as an advisor and has taken over much of the administrative tasks. Sometimes you will also find her behind the wheel of an old military truck.

Aside from work and volunteering, Mary adores time with her family and friends, likes to travel, read, try new recipes, and enjoy nature while biking, walking, or laying in her hammock. She nearly always has multiple projects going at once.

Mary has previously held positions on the boards of: Allmon Enterprises, Inc.; Links Homeschool Group
