Past President

Ed is a past member of the Board of Directors and served as president of the board for 2008-2009. He is a Commercial/ Instrument rated pilot and has been flying on and off for the past fifty years.

In the early 1950's, Ed served as an NCO Infantry Squad Leader in the 10th Mountain Division on the East German border. His background includes positions as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Gould Instrument Systems Inc. and Datricon Corp. as well as Managing Director of Tektronix UK, Ltd.

Subsequent to his retirement from the private sector, he was employed by two contract consulting firms with funding from the United State Agency of Industrial Development, where he served as Country Director for these two firms in Guatemala, The Republic of Georgia and Russia. Seventeen years of his working life was spent in residence outside of the United States.

Ed can usually be found on any given Saturday helping to maintain the museum's equipment or flying in one of the privately owned classic ex-military aircraft that is currently on display in hangar one.

Estrella WarBird Museum is proud to have had Ed serving in the critical role as Board President.

Ed is pictured above, sitting in the Navigator's seat on the "Sentimental Journey", a refurbished B-17 enroute from Paso Robles to the Watsonville, CA Air Show during the Memorial Day Weekend, 2007.
