Don Peckinpaugh

Don was born and raised in Sacramento, California and attended local schools, including Grant Technical College, Sacramento Junior College and San Joaquin Delta College. After a stint with the Navy, he operated a Wholesale Photographic Supply Company, dealing with portrait studios and small photography shops in five states and Honolulu, Territory of Hawaii.

In 1960, Don joined Bergen Brunswig Corp., the 2nd largest wholesale drug distribution company in the U.S.A.  He called on pharmacies and hospitals as a Customer Marketing Consultant and retired from that position in December 1994.  Flying was a life long dream and in 1947, with the help of a good friend, (former World War II B-26 pilot), learned to fly and flew until 2002.

Don has been a seventeen year member of the of Elkhorn Country Club, serving  5 years on their Board of Directors and serving as President in 1991.    

He moved to Paso Robles in December, 2002 and joined Estrella WarBird Museum in 2004 and has made the EWM his home away from home.  Don currently serves as Membership Chairman, as a Docent and is assisting his wife, Charmaine in the organization and installation of the new Research Library.

Don and Charmaine been newly weds for the last fifty-six years and have a daughter and son-in-law in Paso Robles, a daughter in San Diego, plus one grand-daughter, one grand-son and one great-grand daughter living in the Sacramento area.
