This sprint car was originally built by Donnie Ray Evert and O.J. Hannah in the Jim Hall "Rattlesnake Race Shop, Midland, Texas, for the Canadian American Challenge series. It features many prototype components by Chevrolet for Chaparral. This car was driven primarily by George Snider and competed in the United States Auto Club (US.A.C.) pavement sprint and open competition during 1978-1981. The offset engine design was outlawed in the Sprint Division of US.A.C. after this car set numerous track records and won many main events. |
