Munitions Display
Betsy's Biscuit Bomber arrives home Friday at approximately 8:45 p.m. following a 13hour flight home. Fourteen Estrella Warbirds Museum returned home safely after visiting Rock Falls, Illinois and Oshkosh, Wisconsin for the largest gathering of DC-3's and C-47's since World War II.  Travelling with the group was John Edell, Ron Boyt , Mike Kelley, Jim Stainbrook, Gary Corippo, David Barnick, Rob Kinnear, Nick Camacho, Sherm Smoot, and Al Schade. Bottom row: Ron Brooks, Randy Wilbur, Hector Camacho, and Jeff Quade.   Sherm Smoot was the primary pilot and Jeff Quade served as co-pilot, although many of the travelers had plenty of time to share in the duties.

After 13 hours of flying, the crew returns home safely!



It might be late, but it was worth the trip!

Unloading
Crew and supplies are unloaded.  At least one crew member did not complain about the hard seats and long hours.  The resident caretaker never budged an inch during the entire flight!
