Estrella Warbirds Museum members departed early Friday morning, July 23rd,2010, headed back to Oshkosh, Wisconsin for the largest gathering of DC-3's and C-47's since World War II. C-47 Pilot Sherm Smoot delivers the pre-flight briefing for all crew members prior to boarding the aircraft.

Always safety conscious, Crew member Dave Barnick mans the fire extinguishers as the engines are fired up. Betsy's Biscuit Bomber left Paso Robles on 7-23-10 at 0620 with clear skies above and a more than a week of adventure ahead.

Museum Curator Betty Miller, Past President George Taylor, Librarian Chairman Peckinpaugh, and City Liaison Chuck Miller, are just a few of the friends and family that woke up early so they could be on hand at time of departure.
Pre Flight Preparations
Crew Members Dave Barnick and Ron Boyte rotate the props prior to starting the engines. This insures there is sufficient oil readily available for all cylinders.
